What is a whitelist?
A whitelist is a list of e-mail addresses or website addresses from which an e-mail blocking program will allow messages to be received. Some spam filters delete suspected junk e-mail messages straightaway, but others allow the user to place them in a quarantined inbox.
What is the purpose of whitelisting?
The goal of whitelisting is to protect computers and networks from potentially harmful applications. In general, a whitelist is an index of approved entities. In information security (infosec), whitelisting works best in centrally managed environments, where systems are subject to a consistent workload.
Why do we recommend whitelisting?
We recommend whitelisting our email addresses and websites, to ensure you receive your Welcome to Cognassist emails (to setup your access to our system), any report emails and notifications of learners completing their assessments.
How and what do we need to whitelist?
If you have an IT team or person, we recommend you pass this list to them to whitelist the following email addresses and websites.
