🛠️ How to use the new Tutor Report
Accessing the Tutor Report
- If a learner completes an assessment and a potential learning difference is identified, the tutor will also receive an email with a link to the Tutor Report.
- If a tutor tries to view the Tutor Report for a learner who previously completed the assessment, they’ll receive an email once the report is ready. Cognassist generates the report on request, so there may be a short delay.
Using the Tutor Report
- When opened, the new Tutor Report will open in a new tab. This view of the report is designed for tutors to review and tweak ahead of sharing with the learner. The Tutor Report contains the key information from the Learner Assessment Report in a more visual format with more accessible, strengths-leading language and framing.
- To navigate through the report, use the drop-down sections to move through each area of the report.
- For learners where a potential learning difference is identified, there will be a newly revamped reasonable adjustments section. Each adjustment now contains a description, an example, and why this works for the learner, aligned to Ofsted’s 3 I’s (Intent, Implementation, Impact)
- In the new Tutor Report, we recommend 3 initial adjustments tailored to the Learners cognitive profile and work sector/subject area (if populated for the Learner).
- The tutor also has access to all the other adjustments applicable to the Learner and has the option to swap out the currently assigned adjustments using the 'all adjustments' tab and the assign/unassign button for each adjustment.
- This allows the tutor to have the flexibility to choose the right adjustments for the learner.
- In a future release the assigned adjustments and bank of all adjustments will be made available in the learners personalised support plan which will be an enhancement to the current Flexible Learning Plan.
Exporting the Tutor Report
- Tutors can export the new Tutor Report as a PDF using the download button. The PDF will include all the information from the report.
Presentation mode
- Ahead of entering Presentation Mode, tutors can choose which sections to share with the learner. To hide a section, simply toggle the eye icon to the right of each section heading.
- Once you’ve reviewed the report and adjusted the visibility settings, select the ‘Present’ button to begin.
- Presentation Mode is designed for tutors to use when sharing assessment results with learners. It respects any sections the tutor has chosen to hide and presents the report in a learner-friendly format - using strengths-led language and positive framing to translate the tutor’s view into something meaningful and encouraging for the learner.
- When going through the report with the learner, the tutor can step through each section of the report where the presentation and language has been designed to make these sessions more accessible and interactive.
- The reasonable adjustments section can also be edited within the presentation mode allowing the tutor and the learner to work together on finding the right adjustments for the learner.
- Once the tutor has gone through the presentation, they will have the option to send this to the learner. The learner will then be able to view this report from the Cognitive Map area of their Cognassist account.
